Breaking Dawn Festivities...

Ok, I really hope that no one makes fun of me, but IT WAS FUN!!! In my previous post I had stated that Tenille and I had made plans to go to the Breaking Dawn shin-dig down at the local Walmart! Ü So, about 9:00pm we headed down there. As soon as we walked in we felt stupid! I mean seriously.... who wears an evening gown to a friggin' book release party?!?! Who you may ask... this girl......

The line there was ridiculously long, but it was fun. Tenille and I plopped down and played a little Phase 10, a little Uno.... it helped pass the time. There was a really nice girl that was in line next to us that would save our spot if we wanted to go somewhere.... i.e. to stand in line to get bite marks painted on our necks..... yeah, that's right, we got in to the WHOLE spirit of the party! Ü

Some of the people in line started pulling chairs from the camping area for a place to sit. The employees figured it out and started checking for receipts of purchase. Luckily this little girl had paid for hers, or her mom had at least. She spilled her free drink all over her chair. Her mom left her with her sister to go and get something to clean it up with and the little girl continued to drink her soda..... from out of the chair..... too funny!We scored some killer swag.... i.e. fake teeth, necklace, wedding ring, stickers, the whole she-bang! It was great!

Finally, they handed out books at 11:30. Even though we couldn't officially buy the books until 12:01. We got a jump on things and headed to the registers so that we didn't have to wait in too long of a line. GOOD IDEA!!! We were out of there by 12:04! While waiting, we scored a chance at a shirt, but didn't spin the wheel to the correct spot to win. We were bummed out that we didn't win but were more annoyed with the incredible rude GROWN WOMEN in line behind us that were so rude to the KIDS that were in line with us that I almost punched one in the face! But that is a whole different story all together! So by the time we got back to my house we were extremely tired and in a goofy mood. Since Bryon had waited up for me, we went inside for a few funny pictures and some laughs! That is exactly what we got! All in all, it was a great night!!!! Oh and the book is great too!!!

5 New things you may not know about Madi

- She knows how to spell her name and has for a while now.
- She is incredibly smart! She picks up everything like a sponge! We have to watch what we say around her, she already has 2 swears in her vocab and knows how to use them.... Oops!
- She REFUSES to be potty trained! She knows what she is supposed to do, she just doesn't want to. She can be SO stubborn... definitely her momma's child!
- She loves to play with trains. Who woulda thought?
- She never really out-grew the security spoon thing. Her spoons have just grown in size along with her. She now plays AND sleeps with my big wooden cooking spoons.

* Bryon is a movie junkie! He has a massive collection and loves to go see any and all movies in the theater
* Bryon doesn't like to watch sports on TV. He LoVeS to play baseball and football and even watch them in person, but he can't sit through a game to save his life. One of the reasons I love him so much! Ü
* Bryon's jaw PoPs! I mean, it POPS! He had broken his jaw years back and it now makes a really loud PoPiNg noise. Just listen......
* Bryon is a CoWbOy! He is a true, blue, RoPiN', RiDiN' CoWbOy! Who would have thought!?
* Bryon is an AmAzInG father and husband! He treats us both better than we deserve and works day in and day out to make sure we have everything we could ever want! WE LOVE YOU HONEY!

Not long after Madi was born we noticed that she would gasp for air when she slept. We asked her Doctor about it and at first he checked her throat and didn't find anything, so he told us that all babies do that and not to worry. The problem was, she never stopped and I couldn't stop worrying. At her next appointment I again asked him about it and he said that as a precaution we would have her hooked up to a monitor for a couple of days and test her to see where her levels were. He said that the alarm might go off but not to worry. Well the alarm NEVER quit! Now we have an appointment with a specialist on October 1st. Wish us luck that everything is ok and that she will be better soon!

Georgie was SO sick!

Georgie was SO sick!

Not long after we bought George he got really sick. We were really worried about him and didn't know what we were going to do. After about a week with the vet it was discovered that he had very severe ulcers (apparently his cushy life was just too much to handle!) When he came home he had an IV line sewn into his neck and we had to give him lots of meds! He laid in his stall all day and it was so sad to watch! But he pulled through like a champ and he is back to rockin and rollin! We love this guy!

Buddy Boy

This is Buddy. Bryon bought buddy when we started dating. He was looking for a dog and I found him on the internet. Bryon just had to have him! He was such a cute puppy. It took some adjusting to get used to being at our house. When he was about 6 months old he was trampled by one of our horses. We had to take him to the vet to get all fixed up. Buddy hasn't quite learned his lesson yet though. He is always having close calls. I guess we'll just wait for his next emergency. In the mean time he has become an excellent bird dog and Bryon LOVES to take him duck hunting!

Sparky Park

Sparky Park

This is Sparky. He started out as a barn cat but has since turned into one of the dogs! Sparky was born in a storage box at the feed store, Saddle Up. When he and his litter mates were old enough to leave mom he didn't know how to walk. Because he was raised in a box he never had to walk. I took him home and kept him in a crate in the barn and I had to bottle feed him milk. It just so happened that at the same time, Molly was going through a false pregnancy and had milk but no babies. She felt that it was her duty to raise Sparky. She took him in an nursed him and cared for him. To this day they still love each other and Sparky eats and sleeps with the dogs. Now if he could just figure out that he is a cat and start eating the mice in the hay we would be in business!
